The sorts of things we get up to

At this months Songs of Praise service our thought for the day will be about Pearls.

Why not join us to hear some 'pearls of wisdom' about Gods Kingdom and the wonderful treasures that God provides for us. We will also be celebrating God through our favourite songs both old and new.

Please come along and share fellowship and songs followed by coffee, cake and a good chat with friends.

Our Songs of Praise service will be at 10am on Tursday 2nd July.

Fathers Day has just been celebrated and at this months Little Angels we will be carrying on the theme of Fathers and seeing why Jesus called God

'Abba' which means Daddy.

Why not come along and join us as we explore what makes Dad's special through crafts. No doubt Story Monster will stop by to share a story with us too.

We will also enjoy some time to play and sing songs as well as share a drink and biscuit together.

Little Angels is a monthly group aimed primarily at pre-school aged children and their carers.

Little Angels will take place on Thursday 25 June

at 1.15pm

Wow, what a great turnout at Messy Church this month! Lots of people came along to join in the fun at our Charlie and the Chocolate Factory themed event on 19 June 2015.

Visitors to the Messy Sweet Factory were greeted by Vicar Gary dressed as Willy Wonka in top hat and tails. Once through the factory gates the children made their own golden ticket and took part in an Oompa Loompa training session!

We all had great fun in our Inventing Room making Wonka’s Peppermint Swirls, Armpit Fudge and Lickable Pictures. A big lollipop picture was also created using paint made from skittles sweets. Babies, toddlers, school children, parents and grandparents all expressed their creativity by making lots and lots of mess,

Those who made it to the end of the tour sat down together for tea and had a delicious surprise when they sampled the Chocolate Waterfall with fresh strawberries, pineapple and mango. All the mess (and there was lots of it!) was expertly cleared up by volunteers.

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory helped us to explore issues of grace and love, and discover how there is a ‘golden ticket’ for everyone who wants to live in God’s kingdom. Messy Church aims to make the church more accessible and family-friendly with a well-planned blend of Bible stories, craft, music and games.

Don’t miss our next Messy Church on Friday 17 July 2015 at 3.30 pm where we will be looking at how Shaun the Sheep got lost and found.

Please note: All children must be accompanied and supervised at all times by a responsible adult during Messy Church.

This is a free event, however donations towards the crafts and the meal are always very welcome.
