The sorts of things we get up to

Using a family-friendly approach, Messy Church draws people of all ages to a closer understanding of God's love. With large numbers of children, parents and carers coming together for an action-packed time of fun and activities, we learn more about Jesus together through crafts, games and songs.

So, with Easter fast-approaching, what better way to celebrate this season than with a special 'Messy Easter'?

This will be a fun-packed time together - lots of crafts, games, lively fun and activities. But, the real message of Easter will be front and centre, as we learn more about what Easter is REALLY all about.

Join us on Friday March 20th, from 3.30 pm to 5.15 pm for Messy Easter!

Mothering Sunday is on Sunday March 15th.

To celebrate this special day we are holding a special Church4All service at St Michael's at 10.00 am. There will be a lively mix of songs, activities, fun and learning for all ages together.

Whether you are a Mum, or just want to say 'thank you' to a Mum, then you are most warmly invited to join us at St Michael's for Mothering Sunday.

Our new Bishop is to make a visit to St Michael's during March.

Bishop Toby Haworth, who started work in the diocese in the Autumn, will lead a Confirmation Service at St Michael's on Sunday March 8th at 10.00 am.

Confirmation is where people who have already been baptised make the promises of baptism for themselves. It is sometimes seen as a way of 'confirming' that, as an adult Christian, we want to play our full part in the life of the church.

Bishop Toby has lived a varied and exciting life - including several periods of study and work abroad. You can read more about our new bishop here

Menawhile, you are all warmly invited to St Michael's on March 8th to meet our new bishop.
