Christingle shows us it's all about love

As darkness fell on Christmas Eve it was a full house once again for our wonderful Christingle Service!

The moment of the night came when Vicar Malcolm reminded us that Christmas is all about love – at this moment his little grandson toddled up the aisle, jumped on stage and gave his granddad a kiss – showing us that Christmas is really all about love, peace and being together.

Thanks to everyone who helped, whether it was making the Christingles, playing in the band or coming along and taking part on the night and celebrating the birth of Jesus - Immanuel, God with us.

Bishop Toby visits St Michael's

We were delighted to welcome Bishop Toby to St Michael’s yesterday. He gave an inspiring and thought-provoking sermon about Mary’s visit by the Angel Gabriel, and encouraged us all to always have kindness in our hearts. He then joined our wonderful volunteers making the Christingles for our service on Christmas Eve - come along at 4pm today and you may get a Christingle made by the Bishop himself!
