Appeal for Donations after Bingley Floods - UPDATE

Local people in Bingley, Shipley and Baildon have been hit hard by the recent weather with many homes and businesses affected badly by flooding and power cuts.

Bingley Flood Support Group was set up by volunteers who have been working round the clock to co-ordinate help and support for those affected. The group will be closing down shortly - if you have any donations of equipment please take them to Bingley Scout Hut on Sycamore Avenue before 12 noon on Sunday 3 January.

They are in particular need of cardboard boxes, storage boxes, cleaning equipment, shovels, mops, towels, sand bags etc. Dehumidifiers and generators also needed. More information can be found on their facebook page which will remain open to give advice - search for Bingley Flood Support Group.
