Bishop Toby leads Confirmation service

On Sunday, 8 March we were delighted to welcome Bishop Toby, the new Bishop of Bradford, for a service of confirmation at St. Michael’s.

The service was an exciting and joyful celebration of faith as six members of our congregation made their own promises to follow Christ and become an adult member of the Church. Bishop Toby laid hands on each person, prayed for them and anointed them with oil. It was a wonderful occasion for everyone involved – but especially for those confirmed – who gave very moving accounts of their journey in faith.

Vicar Gary Hodgson said: “We enjoyed a relaxed, warm and friendly service which marked this important step in each person's spiritual journey - a very special occasion for all involved!"

Those confirmed by Bishop Toby were Vicky, Lynne, Joan, Helen, Stuart and Kate.
